When I was five years old, my father gave me my first radio and I have been singing along with it ever since. My first years of radio were AM Chicago stations; WCFL, WLS and WIND. I still can't get enough of listening to songs from the late 60's and all of the 70's.
In the early 80's I was able to sing with a few bands and for an extremely brief period of time I sang with Rudy Mockabee in Huntsville, AL. After the birth of my two children, I decided to give singing another shot and created: "Songs by Susanna". It was very low key and consisted of performing for weddings and dinner parties.
The last two decades have been pretty slow in regards to singing. I enjoy the occasional Karaoke outing but I don't really have the patience for waiting my turn.
I decided to create this page as a place to display my singing. Perhaps another opportunity will come along again soon.

It used to be that there was more to getting an album than just listening to the songs. It was also about looking at every square inch of the album cover and reading every bit of information about the artist or group that was on the back side. It was especially great if the album opened up like a book or if the record sleeve had a glossy picture. And if the lyrics to the songs were also included, you really felt like you were getting your money's worth. I can't tell you how many conversations I have had in my head with all the different artists as I was listening to their music and gazing into their eyes while looking at their pictures on their albums.
